Jennifer Paweensuda Saeta-Drouin, 25, the newly crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2019.

Congratulations to Jennifer Paweensuda Saeta-Drouin, 25, the newly crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2019. 
Paweensuda or better known by her Thai nickname "Fahsai," was crowned by reigning Miss Universe Catriona Gray (who also sat in the panel of judges) and succeeded last year's winner and Miss Universe Top 10 finalist Sophida Kanchanarin at the lavish coronation show at the Thunder Dome in Bangkok.
Fahsai also won the Best in Swimsuit and Perfect Poses award during the preliminary competition.
Fahsai, a 6-foot-tall Thai-Canadian model and DJ, won the Miss Thailand Universe Pageant on her second attempt; she was second runner-up in 2017.
Fahsai also vied for Miss Earth in 2017 in Manila where she made it to the top 8.
Born in Quebec, Canada, Fahsai is a summa cum laude BS Kinesiology graduate of the University of Calgary.
Fahsai will represent Thailand at the 68th Miss Universe Pageant in December.

Miss Makati 2019 in a press conference

THE City Government of Makati led by Mayor Abby Binay presented the 24 candidates vying for the crown of Miss Makati 2019 in a press conference held at The Conservatory, Peninsula Manila Hotel earlier today.
With the pageant theme, “Creating the Future Now,” the search for Miss Makati 2019 is focused on highlighting women’s roles in building a smart, sustainable, and future-ready Makati. The event is part of the month-long observance of the 349th Araw ng Makati themed “Makati 2025: Fast-Tracking Progress.”
On behalf of the mayor, Dwayne Samarista of the city's Museum and Cultural Affairs Office (MCAO) welcomed members of the media and proudly presented the 24 Makatizen women who passed the preliminary screenings and made it to the final stage of the pageant.
In a statement, Mayor Abby said Miss Makati 2019 shall embody the shared vision and aspirations of the city and its people. “From among our candidates, we will seek not only beauty, grace and intelligence, but also the ability to inspire positive change among fellow Makatizens,” she stated.
The candidates hail from the different barangays of Makati were able to meet the basic qualifications set for the search for Miss Makati, as follows: single, Filipino, female; 17-25 years old; lives, works or studies in Makati; at least 5’4” tall; and at least high school graduate or currently in Grade 12.
The coronation of Miss Makati 2019 will be held at the Makati Coliseum on Friday at 6 pm.
The board of judges will be chaired by fashion designer Albert Andrada, and will include designers Paul Cabral and Anthony Ramirez; Shiela Romero, CEO of Air Asia; Kate Pagkalinawan, CEO and president of iSkin Aesthetic Lifestyle; George Royeca, Angkas regulatory and public affairs head; Tim Yap, TV host and entrepreneur; actor-singer Franco Laurel; and actress and Miss World 1993 2nd Princess Ruffa Gutierrez.
Ruffa made a surprise appearance at the presscon and gave the contestants precious pageant pointers while at the same time, reminisced her pageant days in Binibining Pilipinas and Miss World in 1993.

PRESS DARLINGS - Congratulations to Gezza Ilagan Avila of Quezon Province and Hisam Hit of Manila for winning as Darling of the Press at the press presentation of the 40 candidates (20 male and 20 female) of



Ambassador of the World - Philippines Pageant held at Robinsons Magnolia earlier this afternoon. 
Wearing the creations of some of the country's top fashion designers, the candidates took to the ramp like pro models in shades of blue by Louis Pangilinan, red by Jhong Sudlon, white by Cathy-Mora Capistranoa and yellow by Don Cristobal.
Preliminaries will be out on June 19 at Versailles Palace Alabang while the finals will be held on June 22 at The Eye of Green Sun Hotel in Makati City
